Disciplinary Commission in the Federal Ministry of Constitutional Affairs, Reforms, Deregulation and Justice
Public servants have to answer to a competent disciplinary commission according to the Beamtendienstrechtsgesetz 1979 (Public Service Act 1979). The ministry’s public servants fall within the competence of this commission, which is instituted at the ministry and decides as a senate. It is independent and not bound by instructions. Judges and prosecutors, however, fall under the competence of the disciplinary courts based on the Richter- und Staatsanwaltschaftsdienstgesetz (Judges’ and Prosecutors’ Service Law).
